Course Overview

Championing Gender Equity for a Sustainable Future

Globally, the manufacturing sector continues to face challenges in attracting, retaining, and advancing women into leadership roles. As technological innovation and sustainability imperatives reshape the industry, manufacturers must broaden and nurture diverse talent pipelines. Research consistently shows that women in leadership contribute greater diversity of perspectives, increased innovation, and more balanced management approaches. However, women leaders often encounter significant barriers when influencing and leading within traditionally male-dominated manufacturing environments.

Simply increasing the number of women in leadership positions does not automatically lead to empowerment, equity, or organisational transformation. Meaningful progress requires both women and men to understand and effectively navigate gender dynamics, create inclusive environments, and actively advocate for systemic change.

About the course

This course explores the unique gender challenges within the manufacturing context, from the shop floor to executive leadership. It addresses how organisational structures, workplace cultures, and socio-economic factors marginalise women and hinder progress toward equity.

Designed for women and men leaders, the course builds the awareness, confidence, and practical skills needed to create inclusive environments and lead meaningful change.

Course Cost

The course costs R12 780 per participant. This is fully inclusive of all refreshments, teas and includes lunch over the three days, as well as stationery. The cost excludes accommodation.
